Elegance

A water color of this tulipa 'Professor Schotel' I created especially for a group show with the Dutch Society for Botanical Artists at " 't Huys Dever" (Dever Castle) in Lisse, The Netherlands. In a sense this work was influenced by some Art Deco elements, e.g. the point where the stems and leaves of the tulips come together. The deep magenta flowers came out exactly the way they should be and I wanted them to be.
