Three Pumpkins

Three pumpkins in graphite. It was done at a time that I worked on lots of graphite work, just light and dark, while learning to apply the technique of atmospheric fade, also called atmospheric or arial perspective.
The pumpkin in the foreground is overal clear with strong detail.
The second one, behind it, is less dark , which makes it retreat a bit into the background.
Number three is much vaguer than the other two; I lifted the graphite with a kneeded eraser, put on much lighter, so it stands in the back i an atmospheric fade.
